Chains must be fitted when traveling over the Crown Range tonight. Motorists are advised to use the alternative route via Kawarau Gorge as some cars are stuck on the Queenstown side. Less vehicles will make it easier for crews to safely clear the road and grit it for motorists. Further updates will be made available on our Facebook page and through e-texts.

Hearings

The hearing phase of the District Plan review is when an independent hearing panel is presented with our council report on the proposed plan, plan change or plan variation. People who have made a submission and have asked to be heard will be invited to speak at the hearing.
