Statement

I have lived in the Upper Clutha area for 48 years firstly as a farmers wife in Hawea Flat and more latterly in Wanaka.

I have been very involved in my community over many years from Plunket, Wanaka Golf Club, BOT Chair Hawea Flat and Holy Family Schools, Wanaka Show, Hawea Picnic Races, as Chairperson for the Holy Family School and Church builds and as past Chair and present board member of the Community Hub.

I offer myself for election as I feel I can bring a pragmatic approach to the Council through my experience. I do not want to do anything other then keep us on track to deliver the basics well and within budget and to ensure that we keep our rates under control. Our area is developing yery quickly and it is imperative that we plan for and budget for that growth with care and astute management.
