Toilets and trade waste
When it comes to running an event, you'll need to factor in toilet facilities, management of storage and containment of hazardous substances, and the correct response for any spill or leak.
Toilets
PSAI's Guide to Portable Restroom Excellence offers a concise overview of toilet facilities for an event, regardless of the event size or purpose.
NB: hand washing facilities or an antimicrobial hand rub is required. Hand sanitation plays an important part in preventing the spread of on-site infections.
Your Portaloo supplier must also supply a drum/bin for the disposal of waste water (grey water) produced by food vendors on site. All waste water produced must be removed by the septic tank operator and disposed of at an approved wastewater treatment site. Should disposal of grey water to land be considered the event organiser will have to contact ORC for permission.
